Exeter City boss Paul Tisdale has backed striker Daniel Nardiello to get back to goalscoring form.

The 29-year-old scored seven goals in six games in October but has not hit the net since.

Nardiello has seen himself moved to a role on the left hand side in recent weeks, especially away from home.

"His mind has to be on attacking and if he's not then he's not the player he can be and I have to appreciate that," Tisdale told 91热爆 Radio Devon.

"On days where he tries to beat his man and loses it or crosses it behind the goal or he shoots and it gets blocked you've got to stick with him because I know that within a game or two he can suddenly score seven goals in a month like he did a few months ago."

And Tisdale says the former Manchester United youngster will come good, even though he is playing in a position he is not used to.

Nardiello missed a month of the season after being injured in City's FA Cup first round draw with Walsall on 12 November.

"He's edging back into the side now, he's played that position away from home, he's done OK, he got into the game later in the day and on another day he'll score goals and I'm sure he will," Tisdale added.
