Hull City appoint Nick Barmby as manager

Hull City have appointed Nick Barmby as their manager on a permanent basis.
The 37-year-old had been caretaker boss of the Championship club since .
: "It is a great honour for me to become manager of my home town club and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
"I have enjoyed my spell in charge of the club so far and I am excited about continuing to work with a talented group of players."
The former England international in anticipation of his move into full-time management.
He has led the club to sixth position in the Championship with five wins and five defeats from his 10 league games, as well as guiding them into the FA Cup fourth round after a 3-1 success over Ipswich on Saturday.
The Tigers' head of football operations Adam Pearson added: "We are delighted that after a period of negotiation Nick has committed his future to the club.
"His decision will provide a real boost as we go into the second half of the season."
