Chris Beardsley's brace saw Stevenage comfortably overcome non-league Stourbridge in the FA Cup second round.
The Southern Premier Division side made it to half-time without conceding, as keeper Lewis Solly produced a full-length save from Luke Freeman's volley.
But two goals in 12 minutes did the damage as Beardsley netted a rebound after Michael Bostwick's shot was saved, and then fired in from 18 yards.
Robin Shroot added the gloss when he tapped in from close range.
Stevenage manager Graham Westley told 91热爆 Three Counties Radio:
"We expected to have to work very hard. They're a club that's on the up themselves.
"They've got momentum, they brought in a very big crowd and it's a very difficult surface and a tough place to come.
"I knew we'd have to prepare and be right to get the result. The boys put in a tremendous performance."
