Walsall have handed a new two-and-a-half-year contract to teenage winger Jamie Paterson.

The 19-year-old has made 11 appearances this season and 26 in total for the Saddlers, scoring once.

He told the "Things have happened very quickly for me. I wasn't involved much during the opening month of the season.

"But I've always had faith in my ability and in recent months, I've started to play a few more games."
