Truro City boss Lee Hodges is pleased that the threat of the club being wound up has subsided for the time being.

The White Tigers were given until 16 January to pay an outstanding tax bill after HM Revenue and Customs took them to the High Court earlier this week.

"We're pleased that there's a little bit more time. Hopefully everything will get sorted out off the pitch," he told 91Èȱ¬ Radio Cornwall.

City host third-placed Welling in the Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.

"My only worry is to get the players as fit as possible and get them on the pitch and give the best account of themselves," Hodges added.

The 38-year-old former Torquay United and Plymouth Argyle defender has not ruled out making a comeback as cover for his small squad.

"I went and had a run-around myself for the reserves on Tuesday," he said.

"With the squad as small as it is at the moment I need to try and work on my fitness just in case they do need me, but it is a last-case scenario.

"You never know, I think I could still help the team out for 15 or 20 minutes but starting might be a bit too much."
