Lincoln City have appointed David Holdsworth as their new manager on a contract until the end of the season.
The Imps, who are in the bottom four in Blue Square Bet Premier, have been managerless since Steve Tilson was sacked on 10 October.
Holdsworth, 42, spent almost two years as manager at Mansfield Town before his departure in November 2010.
"He was the most suitably qualified of all the candidates interviewed."
Head of Youth Grant Brown had been in caretaker charge, leading City to a win, a draw and two defeats.
: "I want to give the people of the club and the city something to cheer about and get a few smiles back on their faces.
"We need to build some character and high standards and the facts will speak for themselves when we get results."
