Gateshead winger Josh Gillies has extended his contract until the end of 2011 after breaking into the club's first team during September.
The 21-year-old has scored once in six games this term as the Tynesiders moved to the top of Blue Square Bet Premier.
"Gillies has grasped his chance with both hands," . "He has done well and must now perform consistently to stay in the side.
"He is one of a number of talented youngsters and has had to be patient."
Gillies, , has made 25 league appearances in total, scoring twice.
