Plans for a takeover for Plymouth Argyle have still not been finalised.

The club is the subject of a takeover bid by Gibraltar-based firm Bishop International.

Acting chairman Peter Ridsdale told 91热爆 Sport that a deal "has to be done this week."

But as yet they have not come up with the money to buy the club's 91热爆 Park ground and the land surrounding it, which would clear the club's debts and allow Ridsdale to own Argyle.

Administrators have given Bishop International until Friday to come up with around 拢6 million for the deal.

It also needs to be ratified by the Football League, but is complicated by the fact that the chairman of Blue Square Bet South side Truro City, Kevin Heaney, is involved with Bishop International.

Under Football League rules no-one is allowed to be involved in the running of two football clubs.

When asked if the deal would go ahead this week Ridsdale told 91热爆 Sport: "We're working on assumption that it will but I'm not the man with the chequebook."

Fans are planning to march to Argyle on Wednesday while some will stage a round-the-clock vigil at the club from Wednesday evening until Saturday afternoon.
