Hodges guided Truro to promotion last season
Truro City boss Lee Hodges says he was thrilled by his side's performance on their first weekend in the Blue Square Bet South.
A late goal from substitute Dan Smith gave the White Tigers a 1-0 opening-day win over Chelmsford City.
Hodges told 91热爆 Cornwall: "Before the game I would have come here and I would have settled for a draw, but to come away with a win is brilliant.
"Full credit to the whole squad, it was a brilliant team effort."
Hodges continued: "I've got a squad of 16-17 boys here who can all play their part and Dan Smith came on and scored us a great goal to get us a winner."
Truro return to action on Tuesday evening with a home fixture against Eastleigh.
