Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of West Brom striker Ishmael Miller for an initial fee of 拢1.2m.

The 24-year-old, who began his career with Manchester City, has signed a three-year deal at the City Ground.

Manager Steve McClaren told the : "Ishmael is still a young player but has loads of experience and a lot to prove. He wants to play.

"He's the type of player we want. He's young and ambitious and fits the criteria perfectly."

Miller struggled to make an impact at The Hawthorns after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury against Portsmouth in December 2008.

He made six substitute appearances in the Premier League last season before going on loan to QPR in January.

Miller scored once in 14 appearances as the west London side secured the Championship title.
