Oxford United to sign Oldham striker Deane Smalley

Oxford United have signed Oldham Athletic striker Deane Smalley on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old who were entitled compensation even though he is out of contract because he is under 24.
Smalley spent most of last season , scoring 12 goals in 39.
"As soon as I came here Oxford stood out for me with their ambition and fantastic fan base," said Smalley.
"This is a fantastic club and very ambitious. I spoke to [Oxford manager] Chris Wilder and [chairman] Kelvin Thomas and they showed me the set up and I was very impressed," he added.
"and Oxford gave us a very difficult time. Hopefully I can help them get promoted to League One next season."
Smalley is Oxford's fifth recruit this summer, following , , and to the Kassam Stadium.
U's boss Wilder added: "Deane is a player we have tracked thoroughly for the past five months. We have monitored his progression since he come through the youth ranks at Oldham.
"He has the ability to be a regular goal scorer, his all round game is already at a high standard, his work rate is superb and at his age, with games and experience, he will only get better."
