Close, day two: Glamorgan 158 & 237-7, Kent 175

Glamorgan 3 pts, Kent 3 pts

Glamorgan paceman Michael Hogan continued his excellent summer by taking 6-65 in a finely-poised Division Two match against Kent.

Kent, who started day two on 102-5, were revived by Daniel Bell-Drummond (78), but Hogan took the last three wickets as they were all out for 175.

Opener Gareth Rees' 52 from 104 balls bolstered Glamorgan's second innings after they had been at 15-2.

Ben Wright (37) and Chris Cooke (35) also chipped in as they ended on 237-7.

Australian Hogan, who recently took a five-wicket haul at Leicestershire, is the Welsh county's top first-class wicket-taker this summer with 61 in 12 matches.

91热爆 Radio Kent's Peter Guise:

"In a game that has swung like a pendulum, a succession of solid Glamorgan partnerships from 15-2 means that Kent will have a larger than expected target to chase to achieve only a second Championship win of the season.

"Daniel Bell-Drummond, who has just had his contract extended by the visitors, made 78 but afterwards admitted the conditions had been 'tough out there'.

"However, Glamorgan's second innings suggests the pitch may be easing slightly and Kent will be fairly confident they can chase down a reasonable target."
