Draw gives Rhodes 'mixed feelings'

"We made them follow on, so to not then get the victory was a blow.

"To then see Matt Pardoe playing as well as he did and stave off a defeat for us [was encouraging].

"It wasn't so much the runs he scored, it was more the manner in which he nursed us through a tough situation when Surrey were getting on top and bullying us.

"Maybe we were a little bit lucky in the end, so I have mixed feelings really."

Surrey coach Chris Adams told 91热爆 London 94.9:

Draw feels like loss - Adams

"It feels a bit like a loss, but it shouldn't because the boys showed immense character to come back from 40-8 yesterday.

"To get in a position today and nearly pull the win off was amazing.

"I think we showed our potential that we are a seriously dangerous side when we get our frame of mind right to play that sort of cricket."
