Luke Wells vital to Sussex hopes of winning at Surrey

Sussex will be relying on Luke Wells if they are to claim a victory in their County Championship clash at Surrey.

Wells will begin the final day on 96, with his side on 240-8, needing another 102 to reach the winning total of 342.

Surrey began day three looking well placed on 250-8 and they reached 273 with James Anyon taking the last wicket to end with bowling figures of 5-79.

The hosts appeared to be in charge as Sussex were reduced to 40-3 early on before Wells kept Sussex in contention.

"Despite the floodlights shining brightly, play was ridiculously called off for bad light at 1840 BST, which means everyone will be heading back to The Oval tomorrow.
