Ireland beat Uganda to qualify for Twenty 20 play-offs

Ireland 171-5 (20 overs) beat Uganda 97 (19.5 overs) by 74 runs |
Ireland booked their place in the play-off stages of the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers with a comfortable win over Uganda in Dubai.
The Irish won by 82 runs to guarantee a place in the top three of Group B.
Ireland made 179 for five, skipper William Porterfield top-scoring with 53 in 43 balls and sharing an opening partnership with Paul Stirling (41).
That was always going to be too many for their opponents, who were blown away for 97.
Trent Johnston got the ball rolling with two wickets for eight runs with the new ball, before George Dockrell (3-26) and Kevin O'Brien (2-7) also impressed.
Ireland face Oman on Tuesday in their final group fixture.
