Belfast fighter Carl Frampton will face Jeremy Parodi of France in an IBF Super Bantamweight world title eliminator in the Odyssey Arena on 19 October.
The fight will also be a European title defence for Frampton, who faces an opponent ranked fourth in the world.
"He's the highest ranked fighter available with the IBF," said the undefeated Frampton.
"I want to win the IBF belt as soon as possible and once I beat him I'll be in pole position for the title."
Frampton, the reigning European, Commonwealth and IBF Inter-Continental Super Bantamweight champion, defeated Kiko Martinez in February to win the European belt.
The 26-year-old, ranked third in the world by the IBF, now aims to secure a shot at a world title.
He had been scheduled to defend his European belt against Everth Briceno in Wembley last month but was forced to pull out because of an ear injury.
Parodi, from Toulon, has twice defended his IBF International title, most recently against Mexican Genaro Camargo and only lost once in 37 fights.
