Britain's Jessica Ennis-Hill is back in training for the 2016 Rio Olympics after taking a break from the sport to give birth to her son.

The Olympic heptathlon champion, 28, revealed in January she was pregnant with her first child, ruling her out of the entire 2014 season.

"Back in the gym... building back into training," Ennis-Hill, who gave birth to Reggie in July, wrote

"Exciting and slightly scary! My journey to Rio starts now."

Ennis-Hill won gold at the 2012 London Olympics with a British and Commonwealth record score of 6,955 points but missed the World Championships the following year because of an Achilles tendon problem.

She then announced in January that she would take the year off, missing the European Championships and Commonwealth Games, as she was expecting her first child.
