Britain's Paula Radcliffe marked her return to action with third place in the Worcester City 10k.
The marathon world record holder, 40, ran 35 minutes 49 seconds to finish behind Jenny Nesbitt and Nicky Sykes.
Radcliffe had not run since the Austria half marathon in April 2012, after which she was ruled out of the London Olympics and had foot surgery.
She was using the event to ease back into racing before finishing her career at next year's London Marathon.
Radcliffe, a Commonwealth 5,000m gold medallist, European 10,000 champion and marathon gold medallist at the World Championships, won the London Marathon in 2002, 2003 - in a world record time of 2:15:25 - and 2005.
Worcester athlete Nesbitt, 19, was first woman home in 34:22. Reuben Chumba of Kenya won the men's race in 30:37.
