The first one is surreal...I've been trying to stand on my furry head to see if it is upside down. It's a bit uncomfortable...but worth it.

Judging from island Bloggs the population of the Western isles is receiving a steep influx of inhabitants. Is there a corresponding exodus or is the population actually growing? How difficult is it to find housing?

Bring your tepee (tipi, whatever), and you'll be fine. If you want to live in the lap of luxury, your could bring a yurt (last year, there was talk of putting a big communal yurt in Jura). There is always the local croft in ruinous state at Dubai prices.

In answer to Barney, if you walk down any road in any village on Lewis you will see houses, therefore it is not hard finding houses. Glad to help, no thanks needed Barney Boy.
