I expect everyone will want to see a recent picture of the d.o.g. As befits a chat distingué I shall maintain a dignified silence...
Flying Cat from The Sunroom of Eternity
CrofterBill, versatile, independent, organised, dog doing well, spring's round the corner and hopefully in yer step. All's well with the world. PS. what did yer call the pup?? Bluebell.
Bluebell from Island Next door
I'm guessing, in a resigned-to-my-fate kind of way that Bluebell is yet another d.o.g. Thye're taking over the blog just now.
Flying Cat from Colliedog Licensing Board
ps If Bluebell goes back to the 'Was that it?'post, it will see the puppy was named Freyja. I always thought we cats was cleverer than mere d.o.g.s and that just proved it!
Flying Cat from smug corner
Sorry to disappoint, but no I am not a d.o.g., although some may say otherwise. I am actually a laydeeee! who will be admonished for my forgetfulness, yes, of course, the pup is Freyja. getting all giddy with the approach of spring, am sure crofterbill will understand
Bluebell from Island Next Door
would like to see the latest pics of mutt. if you have a boat why wait for the ferry to bring over your supplies?would it not be cheaper to go yurself?
carol from france
Ohmigosh! So sorry! How embarrassing to have called a female biped a...a...a...*gulp* It's just there are so very many d.o.g.s hereabouts a cat can get paranoid very easily. There seem to be quite a few laydees in CrofterBill's vicinity these days. (in Springtime a cat's fancy turns to lerv...)
Flying Cat from under a duvet
Bluebell, you should pop round for tea and scones sometime if your that frisky, apart from the wee pup I'm very short on the female company. Carol, the wee boat isnt up to doing the Oban run just yet Im afraid, however you have set me thinking about submitting a tender to the Scottish Executive in competition with Calmac. For clarity Freyja, Norse God of Love, Birth, Fruitfulness and Fertility. The name Freyja means Lady in old Norse. Who's for a wee cuppa and a ginger snap?
Crofterbill from Vatersay
CrofterBill, I am feeling giddy, not frisky, well maybe a bit, perhaps I should change my name to Freyja, Fruitfulness, does that mean Fruity?? oh here we go again, frisky, fruity - what's the difference?? Lurv is definitely in the air. Will pop in for a cuppa and bicky Bluebellxx
Bluebell from Island next door
The solution to the limited capacity of the boat is for you to fill the boat with goodies, and swim pushing/pulling the boat as you go along. You should not rely on ferry, or for Michael to row your boat ashore either. Carol is quite right: some people!! # yes, and let's have some pictures of mutt. We seem to be overflowing with pictures of cats. I wonder why some Viking has not thought of sacrificing a dozen cats or so at the Up Helly (in Unst or Lerwick etc). I hear that this sacrifice is done by Sunny in Aran everytime they hop into their long boat for a razzia or two, and the results so far have been rather satisfying (and will be on sale at Fank 07).

Luurv me tender, luurve me do,... sorry got carried away with Calmac Takeover bid. Who could do worse??? Anyway being a laydeee of Barbie's age, I think I am a bit too long in the tooth for luurrv and maybe its best left to the birds and bees, I'll settle for some creeling with Carol. Buy why, CrofterBill why do you need Carol to take you over the choppy waters to Oban when there's the causeway?? Love to Freyja and fingers crossed that Carol becomes as robust as Bluebell Barbie.....xx
Bluebell from Island Next Door
mjc:::are you in a cruel mood today,by any chance???
carol from france
Don't worry Carol I am a cat of great inner resourcefulness...I can take it on the chin and come up smiling. *grrrrrrrrr* Barbie's just a girl! You're never never too old for luuurv...
Flying Cat from The Sunroom of Eternity
thanks fc: i couldn't agree more.
carol with garfield grin from france
yur surely not from just across the causeway bluebell? No causeway to Oban just yet, altho the Scottish Executive may just come up with that as an alternative to the ferry !! My teas gone cold and the ginger nuts are limp and not crisp. !!
crofterbill from Vatersay
Crofterbill, I know Vatersay well and have crossed the causeway when no accommodation could be found on Barra. So I'll be along shortly to crispen yer nuts (ginger or othewise) and get yer tea hot and steaming .I'll even relight yer fire..... Bluebell xxx
Bluebell from 'cross the causeway
Oh please please hurry Bluebell, I can't bear the thought of poor CrofterBill languishing with soggy nuts and cold tea...
Flying Cat from trying to believe one impossible thing.....
"Ginger nuts," Bluebell from thankfully 'cross the causeway? I must ask: coconuts would surely be more desirable?
mjc from NM,USA
bluebell: let me know if crofterbill make a good cup of tea and if he has any shortbread bikkies,if so i'll be next in line for a cuppa
carol from france
mjc...... I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts..... very desirable they are too... LOL. CrofterBill's a wee bit "SHY" get it??? coconuts, shy. Tee heee.
Bluebell from Blooming Lovely Isle
sorry carol from france, looks like your outta luck, crofterbill is totally smitten by this little kitten. Bluebells coconuts??? . DING DONG!!
Long John Silver from Treasure Island
I am really dizzy!! or nervous, or both. Crofterbill, when you said, Carol the wee boat, I thought that was the name of your wee boat, now I realise you were replying to Carol from France. How odd my comments look now. Going creeling with Carol, hope Carol becomes as robust as Bluebell. Told you I was all of a flutter, My boats have always been called after ladies, Plane Jane, Barbie, Rosie, etc. sorry for any confusion Carol from France. As for CB's tea, good and strong, Shortbread?? mmmm very tasty too. Highly recommended, better get in line fast. Bluebellxxxx
Bluebell from Island Next Door
When is the next boat outta there?!
mjc from NM,USA
bluebell, you seem just as mad as me!! welcome to the club
caroldying with laughter from france
Carol, I think that between us, probably me more than you, we have frightened poor Crofterbill off. He has gone awfully quiet the noo. He talks the talk, but can he walk the walk...... apparently not over the wee causeway. Hahaha
Bluebell from Swaying Palms
bluebell, didn't you realise he is a typical male???
carol from france
i do believe your right bluebell, crofterbill is really quiet maybe he was somewhere in lewis at the weekend!! were you?
carol from france
Poor Crofter bill, Aye! he has done a runner to Lewis. Far away from the lavicious ladies. Ach nae!! he's too busy lambing, poor wee lamb!
Bluebell from livin it up in Lewis
thanks bluebell, for the news
carol from getting ready for a boring week-end
I'm not as quiet as you would imagine girls ! Carol if only you knew - there is nothing 'typical' about me as you would know if you were to come over for a tea and ginger nuts. Bluebell Ive had to make another pot what with you taking so long to get here. Are you swimming over or cycling over past the war memorial? get a move on girl! see you soon.
crofterbill from vatersay
The d.o.g. has put a X in the box for no publicity Please stop harassing her - remember Kate Middletons result.
