SEE YA LA'TER or CATCH YA LA'TA

As of todays date both these phrases are to be banned by decree.
Most people who say the first are highly unlikely to see me ever again, yet alone later.
The second phrase just simply baffles me - I'm not continually falling about and therefore dont need catching.
I dont run away at the slightest thing and therefore dont need to be caught.
This is a new, trivial, stupid, unecessary and I greatly suspect, imported American Phrase, which should and will be banned.
Certainly in my presence.
This campaign needs your support - no madam - not the elasticated type.

Have a nice day, y'all!

Flying Cat from a place of safety

As much as I agree; there exists an even more insidious saying that came from the "Left Coast" (California). Luv ya.. mean it! No, you don't LUV me and if you have to follow up with "mean it"... the you DON'T!!! THAT should be banned first... Additionally, it's seems to be used more oftne as a curse... Catch ya La'ta :-)

Robert Foster from Linden, Virginia... USA

Good to see your sticking with me Flying Cat, is your place of safety west of Coll?

"Catch ya lata" Antipodean methinks.

What about sayings from texting on mobile phones ... A person of precious brain cells can make sense of l8r ... and gr8 m8 ... But one I secretly hate, because it doesn;t make logical sense, is the allied l8rs ... and no its not a digital typo, as I had first thought ... Why on earth would one want to say 'Laters' ...??!!

soapmaker from breasclete with nice cup of tea and mobile phone

LOL! It's better than 'See ya .... wouldn't wanna be ya!'

Susan from Inverness

calumannabel from Old Holborn

Virginia Wade is a bridge too far for me. All pink on the colonial maps I have

CrofterBill from Vatersay

Virginia Wade wasn't she some sort of sportsperson when Daphne Oxenford was telling me a story. Bye and as one of my Irish kin used to," See you through thweek; if I don't see you through the window."
