It was one of the most striking court cases this year.
An Edinburgh woman, Susan Hamilton, was found guilty in June of poisoning a child with salt, causing permanent brain damage. She was sentenced to four years in prison.
Mrs Hamilton says she's innocent and has lodged an appeal. Her family are supporting her, but they haven't spoken publicly until now.
