RECLAIMING HUMAN REMAINS
The remains of 15,000 foreign individuals are lying unburied in British
museums. They may be thousands of years old, and in many cases the country from which they were taken would like them returned. Professor Norman Palmer who chaired the Human Remains Working Group talks about its recommendations, and Sir Neil Chalmers, director of the Natural History Museum explains his why he is not in favour of an independent advisory panel to resolve claims.
