Contracts
Here's what the last page of the Submission Form means in plain English....
- This gives us the basic permission to put your music on the Radio 1 website. It's non-exclusive, which means you can still put it on other websites or do whatever else you like with it.
- This says that we don't have to use your music if we decide not to. Also you cannot hold us responsible for any bad reviews or comments people make about your music on OneMusic and what that does to your reputation.
- Simply we cannot return anything you send us.
- By signing the contract with this statement in you are saying your music is all your own and doesn't therefore use/infringe the copyright of any third parties. It also covers your name which you should ensure is not being used by other artists or companies.
- This is an extension of section 4 which says you have asked permission from anyone else who helped write or perform on your music and they have given us permission to put it online.
- We cannot put music online which contains swearing, offensive lyrics or lyrics that slander someone else
- This is the big legal one. If you sign this agreement and a) the music is not all your own work b) you haven't gained permission from everyone involved in the creation of the music then the 91热爆 can pass all legal costs and fines onto you. These could be very big so don't lie!!
- To make your tracks sound better online or on-air we may process your music. We'll only do this to improve it or edit it for a trail.
- You are allowing the 91热爆 freedom to use the Material and confirming all relevant permissions have been obtained.
- We may use you in publicity for OneMusic or the 91热爆 in general
- You have to accept these rules to send us your music and by sending it we assume you do accept the rules.
- Should we believe your music breaks any of these rules we can take it off the site immediately without telling you.
- We will not pay you any money to record, press or send us your music.
- If you'd like us to take your music offline then you need to let us know in writing. We'll then remove it within ten working days.
- You cannot send us your music if you've signed a record deal with a record company that has four or more artists on its roster.
- Sorry but as the 91热爆 is funded by TV licence fee payers in the UK, we cannot accept music from artists outside the UK.
