EXQ is a Zimbabwean rapper who is still hitting the spot after more than 20 years in the game. He burst onto the scene with his comic hit Salala, which was about a young dude from the city struggling in the Zim countryside. That was back in 2000, but he鈥檚 managed to stay fresh and relevant.
He鈥檚 just been visiting the UK, and Nyasha Michelle caught up with him after his performance in Birmingham and asked him how it all began, what it was like collaborating with Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi, and which of his songs he鈥檇 most like the world to know about.
