Josslyn from Cabo Verde and Queen Sheba from Malawi have both struggled to make it in music, but things are looking good for them now.

Queen Sheba is based in the UK, and has faced criticism from Malawians who think she shouldn鈥檛 dress in such a provocative way. But she is determined to make her music and present herself the way she wants to.

Josslyn has also faced challenges, but, as she tells TIA, she keeps in mind the story of her musical mentor and inspiration, Cesaria Evora, who also had to fight to succeed, and went on to become Cabo Verde鈥檚 brightest star and a Grammy winner as well.
