MC Acondize from Cabo Verde has conquered the local market with his Afro house sound, but also performed to packed venues in Europe and the United States.
He started out as an events promoter and dancer, hosting parties for young people. But then he began making his own music and managed to attract fans in a country where people have a very strong connection to more traditional music.
His most popular single, E Pa Pila, received millions of views on YouTube and Spotify, and several more singles have grown his audiences sharply since then. His live performances are packed full of energetic dance moves - and he's known for stripping down to his shorts on stage.
