India's Citizenship law protests
India's new Citizenship Amendment Act has sparked protests across the country. Its stated aim is to offer sanctuary and Indian citizenship to people fleeing religious persecution in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. But critics say it undermines India's secular constitution and may also affect India's own Muslim population. Clashes between protestors and police have led to violence and even deaths, and accusations that the police have carried out attacks on Muslim property. Zubair Ahmed of 91Èȱ¬ Hindi went to Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh to investigate.

As the New Year gets underway many of us are adjusting from 2019 to 2020, but what about the countries which use different calendars and live by different dates? We brought together Ethiopian Kalkidan Yibeltal of 91Èȱ¬ Amharic, Iranian Golnoosh Golshani, and Nepali Krishna Acharya, who are living in 2012, 1398 and 2076 respectively.
