This week, Click are in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, reporting from the IEEE 5th World Forum on Internet of Things. What can we expect from this technology in the future?

Internet of Things encompasses all devices connected to the internet, which can be further connected. This means that all of our 鈥渢hings鈥 can talk to each other to provide an autonomous action. Imagine a system where your fridge decides when to order your groceries, or your dishwasher decides when to wash your dishes. Outside of your smart home, Internet of Things promises even more, such as smart cities, where traffic lights are connected to millions of sensors that can direct your self-driving car down a congestion-free street.
