Taliban: First public execution since return
Afghanistan's Taliban rulers say they've carried out their first public execution since seizing power last year.
The Taliban said a man charged with murder was executed at a sports stadium in Farah province in front of senior figures of the group. This appears to mark a return to hard-line practices that were common when the Taliban ruled in the 1990s, that included public floggings, stonings and killings.
