George Floyd death: Protester who hugged police officer
We speak to a woman who hugged a police officer in a Louisville protest in the US.
We speak to an African-American woman in Louisville, Kentucky who hugged a police officer during a protest. They held each other in a tearful embrace for almost a minute. Tonya Trumbo talks about the message she wanted to send about the reaction to the police; she also shares her experiences of racism.
We continue to talk to people outside of the US who have also taken to the streets to make their own protest. We'll hear from Brazil and Sierra Leone. In Idlib, Aziz Asmar has drawn a mural of his own tribute to George Floyd on a piece of wall – we’ll discuss his experience and perspective from Syria.
