UK Public Companies Forced to Publish Average Salaries
Under the plans, companies listed on the London Stock Exchange will have to reveal their chief executive's pay compared with that of an average worker.
The UK government has unveiled proposals to force companies listed on the London Stock Exchange to reveal how much their chief executives are paid compared with the average employee. We get reaction from Sam Bowman, director of the Adam Smith Institute. A Bangladesh court has convicted the owner of a garment factory that collapsed in 2013. As our reporter explains, the corruption conviction precedes further charges for murder relating to the disaster. Also in the programme, British actor Ed Skrein has pulled out of superhero film 'Hellboy', after a backlash because he was cast as a character of Asian heritage.
