Frequently asked questions about The 91Èȱ¬ Radio 6 Music Festival

Is it too late to get a ticket?

Tickets for The 6 Music Festival have now sold out. We’re sorry if you missed out – the demand for tickets was huge.

PLEASE DON'T RISK BUYING OR OBTAINING TICKETS THROUGH UNOFFICIAL CHANNELS.

We understand your frustration that some people are placing adverts on secondary ticketing websites offering tickets for sale. We do not agree with people selling tickets on for profit, however, legally there is nothing the 91Èȱ¬ can do to prevent ticket holders selling their tickets in this way.

The 91Èȱ¬ reserves the right to ask ticket holders for their identification linked to the purchase of the original ticket upon entry to the event. We strongly recommend the public do not risk buying tickets that are being resold as we cannot guarantee they are genuine or are not tickets that have previously been cancelled. Those offering free or paid for tickets for sale are breaking the Terms & Conditions they agreed to during the booking process and, if discovered, we reserve the right to cancel their tickets.

Some tickets will be given away in on-air competitions on 91Èȱ¬ 6 Music in the weeks leading up to the event – keep listening for more information.

Does a ticket to The 91Èȱ¬ 6 Music Festival also entitle me to attend the 6 Music Festival Fringe?

No, tickets for the 91Èȱ¬ Radio 6 Music Festival Fringe are separate to The 91Èȱ¬ Radio 6 Music Festival. You cannot attend the Fringe unless you were successful in the .

Does a pair of tickets to The 91Èȱ¬ 6 Music Festival Fringe entitle me to stay for The 91Èȱ¬ Radio 6 Music Festival in the evening?

No, tickets for the 91Èȱ¬ Radio 6 Music Festival are separate to .

How old do you have to be to attend?

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult over 18. Minimum age is 12. People who are considered by door stewards to look under 12 may be required to produce photo ID ( Passports, etc). If the door stewards have any doubt regarding the legitimacy of the ID produced they will not admit that person to the venue. Refunds will not be issued to ticket holders refused entry because they cannot provide proof of age.

What time does the event start and finish?

Doors at the Victoria Warehouse will open at 4pm for ticket holders to enter the venue with the first act on stage at 4:15pm. The event will finish at Midnight.

When will I get my tickets?

Tickets will be sent out from the beginning of February to the address you provided when booking and we cannot change this. Tickets are printed with a unique barcode, which is scanned at the entrance to the event. They are fully traceable and we can cancel them at any time by invalidating the barcode.

What happens if my tickets don’t arrive?

Tickets will be despatched as soon as possible, but they may not be received until the week of the event. If you have not received your tickets in the post, please contact SEE tickets no later than two working days before the show date.

Getting to Victoria Warehouse

By Car

Please type: Victoria Warehouse, Trafford Wharf Road, Manchester, M17 1AB into your Sat Nav. 

For event parking, please follow the signs to Manchester United’s E3 Car Park which is adjacent to the venue or to the Pomona car park (M16 0TT) which is a short 10 minute walk to the venue. Both car parks cost £6.

By Tram

The venue is located between two trams stops. Pomona which runs every 6 minutes and Exchange Quay (Media City-Eccles line) runs every 12 minutes. For more information go to or telephone 0161 205 2000

By Bus

By Rail

By Bicycle

You are welcome to ride your bike to the venue. There will be a limited bike parking provision available outside the venue during large events. Please be aware it is an offence to ride your bike under the influence of alcohol.

By Taxi/Drop off / Leaving

Taxis drop off on Trafford Wharf Road, parallel to the Victoria Warehouse hotel. Please ensure that the driver only drops off in the sign posted area.

A taxi rank will start from 10.30pm at the side of the hotel for those leaving the event.

What facilities are you providing for disabled people?

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

There will be a raised viewing platform in the main room only, access to which will be at the discretion of security staff and subject to space on a first come first served basis. You do not need to contact us in advance - our team on the day will direct you - but it would help if you can bring a doctor’s note or similar if your condition is not obvious.

Please note these facilities are not designed for customers with temporary conditions such as broken legs, or those who are pregnant.

Are there disabled toilets?

There are 2 disabled toilets in the venue.

Do you have a ticketing system whereby a disabled person can bring a companion/carer free of charge?

* DLA Entitlement Letter – stating levels awarded (middle or high rates)

Is the disabled viewing platform available on a first come, first serve basis? And will my carer be able to sit next to me?

Yes it is available on a first come first served basis and your carer will be able to sit with you.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Can I bring food and drink into the event?

No food or drink can be brought into the venue. The bar will be selling drinks and food is available. The venue operates Challenge 21. If you appear to be Under 21 you will be asked to prove you are over 18. Please bring photo ID in the form of a passport or valid driving license.

What types of food will be available?

There will be a number of food stalls available at the festival. During the Fringe Sessions we will have a food stall selling a range of hot and cold food e.g crisps, chocolate bars, paninis, toasties, tea, coffee. There will also be snacks available at the bar in the hotel, and hot pies in the record fair. There will be both vegetarian and vegan option available here.

From 4pm each day we will have food concessions just outside the festival venue selling a range of food e.g BBQ pork, hot dogs, burgers, chips. Vegetarian options will be available from the pizza and Indian Dosa Stalls.

Can I bring a camera?

Yes, but please be aware professional photography equipment such as zoom lenses are not allowed in the venue.

Where can I watch and listen to coverage of the event?

As well as plenty of amazing live music and several thousand music fans, our presenters will be at the 91Èȱ¬ Radio 6 Music Festival and Festival Fringe, broadcasting live from 1pm until midnight both days, bringing you all the sets, interviews with the artists, surprises & behind the scenes action to the comfort of your own home.

We are not looking for any more bands to play this year, but if you want to be in with a chance of playing on a 91Èȱ¬ Introducing stage in future make sure you upload your music:

Valuables

All persons attending the concert are responsible for their own valuables. The 91Èȱ¬ will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal property brought to the venue.

Cloakroom

There will be a cloakroom avcalible on the night which cost £2 an item

First Aid

There will be a designated First Aid area at the venue with an appropriately qualified First Aider.
