'I was given chemotherapy when I didn't need it'
A Kidderminster father-of-two, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, was told he needed to take a drug 'indefinitely' to prolong his life.
Richard Walker and another 13 patients are being represented by a law firm over concerns about the administration of TemoZolomide at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Trust.
NHS guidelines recommend the chemotherapy drug should not be used for more than six months. But Richard says he was 'confused' and 'shattered' after learning he took those drugs needlessly for more than a year.
David Lumb hears from Richard, and Fiona Tinsley, from the law firm Brabners which is representing him.
The 91热爆 has asked Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust for a response.
It's previously said it's undertaking an internal review of the matter, and once completed, will consider what further steps may be necessary.
