When Canadian heptathlete Leanna Carriere swiped right on a dating app, it started a journey that should take her and her partner Timm D枚bert all over the world.

They've completed the Canadian leg of a cycling expedition that will see them replicate the migration of birds to raise awareness of climate change.

The couple tell Sportshour鈥檚 Caroline Barker why they鈥檝e decided to combine Leanna鈥檚 athletic ability and Timm鈥檚 academic background to make a positive change for the environment. Leabbe is also part of the EcoAthletes collective, a non-profit that inspires and coaches athletes to lead climate action.
