A new plan for the future of Leicester Market has been unveiled by the city council.

Work on the market place in the city centre was paused earlier this year.

The authority's now proposing a scheme that would return Leicester鈥檚 historic market to its old site, but would also create a new event space in the heart of the city centre.

City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby told Summaya Mughal he's listened to market traders.
