Droitwich cannabis farm ‘found next to police station’
Residents have been left stunned after coming across a huge cannabis farm, opposite the town's very own police station.
West Mercia Police smashed their way into two empty retail units in Ombersley Street East, in the town centre, in front of stunned shoppers, shortly after 8am on Wednesday 18 September 2024.
They found 176 cannabis plants worth a whopping £147,000, a few steps away from the police station's front door.
Tom Edwards reports.
A police spokesperson said: "We would like to reassure members of the public that while these premises are close to Droitwich Police Station, we have been developing intelligence for some time now, and executed our warrant at a time designed to cause maximum disruption and cost to this organised criminal enterprise.”
