Good morning. Cornwall Council has received a grant worth 拢80,000 to support children under five with a parent who is a member of the armed forces.
The funding for this new project was provided by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
The council鈥檚 Early Years Service said that it would help to nurseries near the military bases at RAF St Mawgan, RNAS Culdrose and HMS Raleigh, and offer them training to "raise awareness of the unique needs of young children from the armed forces community."
Councillor Barbara Ellenbroek described the grant as 鈥渇antastic news鈥� and said that the council would focus on the children鈥檚 wellbeing and resilience, and 鈥渕ake sure young people from every community are listened to, understood and supported in the right way."

Cornwall Council has published a list of plants, animals and habitats found in the seas around the Cornish coast in greatest need of protection.
Included in the list are seals, seagrass, maerl, kelp, native oysters, whales, dolphins, mussels, sharks, rays, tuna, cod and seaworms.
All these species are important for different reasons. Seagrass, for example, cleans the sea by removing carbon dioxide, and kelp provides a habitat and food for many other marine species.
The council said that this was a 鈥渃rucial step鈥� in its plan to produce a Marine Nature Recovery Framework, and it hopes that this work will be complete by the end of next year.
The aim of the plan is to protect and restore these important species and to combat the effects of climate change.

The women鈥檚 world record for shearing ewes has been beaten by a Scottish woman at a farm in Cornwall.
The event was held at Trefranck Farm, near Launceston, where Una Cameron sheared 517 ewes in nine hours. That鈥檚 59 more than the previous record.
Ms Cameron was raising money for Blood Cancer in Cornwall and St Luke鈥檚 Hospice in Plymouth.
Event organiser, Huw Condron, said, 鈥淪hearing 250 sheep is the equivalent of running a marathon鈥�, and added that the new record 鈥渋s like running two marathons back to back in nine hours.鈥�
As well as the new record, Una received a special prize from Mr Condron 鈥� one Curly Wurly!
