Two Vista care homes in Leicestershire to close
Vista, the Leicestershire-based sight loss charity, is being criticised over its decision to shut two of its care homes.
It says unless Applegarth and Kathleen Rutland homes are shut, visually impaired people can't be guaranteed the support they need.
A spokesperson for Vista confirmed 37 residents would be affected over the two homes, with a total of 84 jobs lost. Vista added that it was working with resident families and allocated social workers to support re-accommodating them.
The announcement has left some family members who have loved ones in those homes feeling frustrated. 91热爆 Leicester's Ady Dayman spoke with Jenny, whose grandma is looked after at one of the homes, and also to Steve Payne, Director of Care and Services at Vista Leicester.
