Thorpeness: Suffolk's Neverland
The first purpose-built seaside village in the UK was created right here in Suffolk.
Thorpeness was the first purpose-built seaside village in the UK.
It was developed by Glencairn Ogilvie in the early 20th century and has strong connections to Peter Pan creator, J. M. Barrie.
Johnnie Wright met Hamish Ogilvie - great great grandson of Glencairn and current owner of Thorpeness Meare to discover more.
