A new dual carriageway on a stretch of the A30 in Cornwall has opened after a four-year project.
The 拢330m project, between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross, started in 2020.
Completion of the dualling works was delayed several times and in March the end date was pushed back a further three months.
It said the reason for the delay was due to "significant challenges" the project had faced around bad weather and construction issues.
National Highways said there was still work to complete on some local roads, footpaths and cycle paths to complete the project.
The organisation said in order to complete the work before the school summer holidays, it would be implementing some local road closures until 12 July.

People with learning disabilities in Cornwall have been given extra help to encourage them to vote.
A workshop was held in Truro on Saturday to explain the process of voting and the support available.
The event was organised by a group of disability stakeholders in Cornwall.
They said it is vital the UK's 1.5m adults with learning disabilities have their voices heard in the election.
Angie Emrys-Jones, from Cornwall Downs Syndrome Support highlighted the importance that people with a learning disability understand that reasonable adjustments can be made around voting.
You can have someone come into the booth with you or make the mark for you.
You can also have someone read out the list of candidates to help you better understand what's happening.
Emrys-Jones said, "there's lots of help to go to vote and it is your right to vote."
Among the other participating groups were the group Time2Shine, and Disability Cornwall.
Marie Whitehurst, from Disability Cornwall, praised the response to the workshop.

More than 600 girls have attended a festival aimed at getting them into careers in technology and engineering.
The 'Reach for the Sky' event - the first festival of its kind in Cornwall - took place in a hanger at RNAS Culdrose on Saturday.
As well as an F35 aircraft display, there were workshops with 3D printers, robots and virtual reality, with a paper plane competition and rocket shows featuring a rocket car, a jet engine and fireballs.
The day also held role model panels in which girls met female pilots and women working in aerospace and engineering.
