A secret school of dark crafts
Did you know some of Britain's most famous WWII spies from the Special Operations Executive (SOE) learned how become silent killers and saboteurs in the Hampshire countryside?
Tucked away in the Hampshire countryside on the picturesque Beaulieu Estate during WWII, was a secret school for spies.
At least 3,000 young men and women concluded their training there before being sent on dangerous missions behind enemy lines in occupied Europe.
They helped pave the way for D-Day through intelligence gathering and sabotaging key German infrastructure.
But their daring exploits often came at a high price and many never survived to see the freedom that they fought for.
