Asma Khan: 鈥楾he environment in kitchens is unacceptable鈥
Asma Khan is one of the 100 most influential people of 2024, according to Time magazine. She鈥檚 also one of the UK鈥檚 most prominent female chefs and founder of the London restaurant, Darjeeling Express.
Joining Anita Rani in the Woman鈥檚 Hour studio, Asma discussed why she鈥檚 calling for more female chefs to call out misogynistic, aggressive behaviour that she thinks seems to be acceptable in professional kitchens, and why she wants male chefs to help.
Asma also spoke about her all-female kitchen of mostly South Asian immigrants over the age of 50, most of whom had no formal training.
