Revealed: RAF Coningsby's D-Day tribute Typhoon
The RAF has unveiled a special paint scheme on one of its Typhoon jets, to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day in 2024.
The aircraft, which is based at RAF Coningsby and will fly at air displays throughout the year, carries the markings of one of its World War Two namesakes, the Hawker Typhoon which played a prominent role in the D-Day landings and the allied invasion of Europe.
