Liverpool's Alan Bates has given a strongly worded witness statement to the Post Office public inquiry.
The real Mr Bates spoke of his tireless campaign for the many hundreds of people affected by one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in UK legal history.
The Post Office has apologised for hurt caused by the scandal.
