Staff at Roxy's Rainbow Pet Cremation Services say they were devastated after burglars stole funds raised for grieving pet owners.

Thieves targeted the Hartlepool business on Monday.

Owner Darren Bates and worker Wendy Stone told reporter Louise Hobson they did "not understand the mentality" of those who would target a business like theirs.
