Teesside woman "tortured" in own home
A Teesside woman has described how her controlling husband stopped her leaving her house, even when she was in pain and needed urgent hospital treatment.

She told reporter Stuart Whincup, she suffered years of mental and physical torture after being told she wasn鈥檛 allowed to leave the house for months on end.
听
It's as a North East charity says women over sixty are often seen as the "forgotten victims" of domestic violence and are less likely to leave their abuser and seek help.
