Cillian Murphy: 'I found the whole apparatus of film-making intimidating'
Actor Cillian Murphy confesses he gets 'nervous' doing films despite winning a British film aware for leading actor in Oppenheimer
Actor Cillian Murphy has just won a top British film award for leading actor for his portrayal of scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer in the film of the same name directed by Christopher Nolan.
Oppenheimer has also been nominated for several awards at the forthcoming Academy Awards 2024, so there is a chance Cillian could also be adding an Oscar to his trophy shelf soon.
Despite his success, he tells the 91热爆's Lauren Lavern that the red carpet lifestyle is not "something he's totally at ease with."
"You have to choose to enjoy it and I think you can do that in your brain, and it's easier then," says Murphy.
When asked about getting into the right frame of mind for the role of Oppenheimer he says: "I knew the character was so much in his head, I knew that it had to be a kind of interior performance...it needed to be more how you could transmit the thought process through the face and the eyes and all that."
