The leader of Worcestershire County Council says they require more cash from government, even after council tax rises and £25m of 'efficiencies', to cope with a £20m overspend.

Simon Geraghty told Tammy Gooding what he'd like to say to Rishi Sunak, why the funding of local government needs to be looked at, and denied that there was a risk to Worcestershire County Council going under.

A spokesperson for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities said: "we recognise councils are facing challenges and that is why we have announced a £64bn funding package - a real terms increase at an average of 6.5% - to ensure they can continue making a difference, alongside our combined efforts to level up."
