In November official figures showed net migration had soared to a 745,000 in 2022. 91ȱ Secretary James Cleverley yesterday unveiled a 5 point plan to bring the numbers down. He said a ban on overseas care workers bringing family dependants and an increased salary threshold for skilled workers from £26,200 to £38,700 would deliver the “biggest ever reduction”. In a piece for the Sun the Prime Minister says - "enough is enough - If you can’t contribute to the UK, you’re not coming to the UK".
